The opening hole at The Pines is a par 5. Keep your tee shot to the middle left of the fairway and you should you find yourself with a good approach to the green.  Beware of the bunkers which guard both the right and left sides of the green. 

The second hole at The Pines is a par 4. Keep your tee shot to the middle right of the fairway and you should you find yourself with a good second shot to the green.  The bunker on the right of the green will only be a factor if the pin placement is to the right.

The third hole at The Pines can be a tough par 3 if fear of water is your nemisis. Don't let the small pond between you and the green hinder your thoughts for a par. 

Hole four can be a tough par 5 if your tee shots tend to stray.  Keep your tee shot to the middle left of the fairway and away from the woods for a better approach to the green.  A birdie here will look nice on your scorecard and improve your confidence for the next hole.  

Hole five is a challenging par 4 with a slight dog-leg to the left.  Keep your tee shot in the middle and away from the trouble of the trees.  A par here is not a bad score.  

Hole six can be a challenge if you tend to slice.  Keep your tee shot to the left and away from the trouble of the woods on the right.  A par here will keep you on track.

Hole seven can also be a difficuult one if you slice.  Your tee shot should be to the middle left and away from the trouble of the trees on the right.  Long hitters will only need a short wedge to the elevated green and a birdie here is well within your grasp.  

Hole eight requires that you get your distance right off the tee.  Too short and you'll most likely need a sand wedge from the large bunker that guards the green on the front right side.  

The last hole on the front is a slight dog-leg to the left.  Keep your drive in the left middle of the fairway and you've got a good shot at being on in two. Time to start thinking about getting a drink and maybe a snack from the club house.
